Playgroup Costume Parties through the years....

This was our 6th annual playgroup/fall festival attendance dressing up our cuties.  I took a stroll down memory lane at all the playgroups we've attended over the years.  In 2006 (Cara's first) it didn't happen or we didn't go, but I got a picture with a friend at church :).

Cara & Kaeli W.

2007 Cara as the bee (it made a reappearance this year) with Mason, Blake, Kizmet, Cara, Hailee, Ashlyn and Ella.

First costume I made Cara :)

in 2009 at Meredith's house

in 2010 Cara was in preschool so we have her dance class costume party and playgroup at Mikel's house

2011 at Sterling's house, we kinda exploded!

Balsamic Chicken Recipe

I'm downloading lots of new pictures from the past few weeks, but to get the blog juices going again, here is a yummy new recipe we've been liking from the crock pot: Balsamic Chicken.

Balsamic Chicken

4-6 chicken breasts (I do 3-4, it makes a ton)
2 – 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (I use petite diced)
1 onion thinly sliced (not chopped)
4 garlic cloves
½ cup balsamic vinegar
2 T olive oil
1 tsp each: dried oregano, basil and rosemary
½ tsp thyme
Ground black pepper and salt to taste

Pour the olive oil on bottom of crock pot.
Place in chicken breasts, salt and pepper each breast.
Put sliced onion and garlic cloves on top of chicken.
Put in all the dried herbs.
Pour in vinegar and top with tomatoes.

Cook on high 4 hours, serve over angle hair pasta.

From Crock Pot Girls on facebook (it was in a random comment I saw!).

Kids love this, makes tons of leftovers, it’s a winner in the Newsome house! J

JH Football Game

We went to Eric's band's first junior high football game they attended. We didn't stay long but the kids LOVE seeing Daddy at work and love watching all the sights and sounds of a football game. Cara and Micah both left the game in love with the cheerleaders...I don't know how I feel about that. Here's our night in pictures!

Eric starting the fight song.
Cara in her cheerleading outfit, carrying her 'daughter.' That thing goes with us everywhere.

Sweet boy.

Dancing to the music.

My 3 babies.

Watching the football team and the cheerleaders.

Our little CPA :)

Last Sunday before church Micah was brining Eric his glasses and put them on. How cute is he?

"Hi, can I do your tax return for you?"

"What, you don't trust a 2 year old?" :)

I just thought he was too stinkin' cute!
